Dinner Specials

January – Pacific Rim; from Japan to Australia
We picked Pacific Rim for January because during our winter month it is summer there.
Perhaps some of the sunshine will reflect from the food served.

Macadamia Encrusted Mahi Mahi
Australian dish: Mahi Mahi fillet (a firm light meat) is breaded with amacadamia nut crust, pan browned crispy with peanut oil and served topped with a tangerine vinaigrette. Mahi Mahi is sometimes called dolphin fish but is not related to the mammal. Served with rice and vegetable hash seasoned with Asian salted black beans.

Tangy Adobo Chicken
Filipino dish: Grilled chicken breast stewed in adobo sauce, a rich and tangy sauce of tomato, garlic and rice vinegar with fresh cilantro. Served with rice and a vegetable hash seasoned with Asian salted black beans.

Scallops with Soba Noodles
Hawaiian fusion dish: Seared scallops simmered in a coconut ginger lime sauce and served over soba (Japanese buckwheat noodles) The soba noodles are a good luck charm for the new year.

Sesame Tofu with Miso-Sake Sauce
Japanese dish: Marinated tofu coated with sesame seeds and rice flour, deep fried and topped with a miso-sake sauce. Served with soba noodles and a vegetable hash seasoned with Asian salted black beans. A great vegan dish.

Australian style. Served with a zucchini-horseradish
relish, grilled potato chunks and a vegetable
